☺️ Today we opened a lovely thank you letter and gift from a resident of Anchor – Elderwood Resident Care Home following a visit in July from our Year 7 Summer School pupils.

The gentleman, who is in his late 80's and previously worked in education, took the time to handwrite a letter which said…

"I received a plant pot beautifully painted with a landscape bearing the motto Bee Happy and with a delicate flower to take care of. I will treasure it. Although the pupils who made the gift are the main recipients of my gratitude, I hope anyone who reads the messages will be inspired throughout their lives"

In addition, he also sent a lovely gift of a paperweight which included an inspirational quote (see image).

We are so grateful and we will pass on his message to the Summer School pupils and staff.🥰

8:30 start is just ridiculous, the day was shortened from 8:45 – 3:15 a couple of years back which always worked better in my opinion
